What does one aspire to be? In today's world, only to be a success. If you ask a little girl what she want's to be when she grows up, she will answer anything but a wife and mother. But somehow, it's wrong for a girl to say she want's to be a wife and mom. They all say to her,"No, before that." They all think that is the most meaningless job. As if you wern't living up to your full potential . They ask her "Don't you want to be a lawyer, a teacher, a doctor, anything but a mother? Now these are meaningful jobs!"
To be a godly wife and mother, is the highest calling, the noblest job. To raise the next generation in a God honoring way, is not an easy task. However, it is one, I beleive, to be one of the most important job's there is. To instill in them the desire to love and serve the one true God, that is what I want to do with my life. I am aspiring to be a godly woman, wife, and mother.

ReplyDeleteI’m not a Catholic, but I do like this quote, because what could be truer. One may say they can live forever though heaven as a personal belief, but one can say they live forever though their children as a fact. It is so sad and sicking that so many people care so little for them, and that work takes precedence above them, while they are the most important.
